13 Years!!

13 Years and counting!!

Today Bob and I are celebrating 13 years of marriage!! 

This is the last full day in Nashville. It has been amazing!!! Today is getting laundry done and packing up. We ended up having to run to Target for something and when I came out to start the van it just click click clicked. Not good!! So I called Bob and he started heading our way. We were suppose to be dropping his rental off but that was a bit delayed. We didn't have any jumper cables but since we were at Target, I went back in and bought a pair!! Now to see if one of these "friendly Southerners" to help us get the van started. Well that was a joke. In CT when we need the van jump started, we had someone come up to us and ask if we needed help and that was when I was with Bob. Well in TN it was NOT that way. It was 2 women, 3 kids, parked in a handicap spot with the hood of the van up and not one person asked if we needed help. In fact it was just the opposite, everyone tried to avoid us!! I was shocked!! Well Bob finally got there and got the van started. We went to the closest Advance and were able to replace the battery and were good to go!!

We finally got Bob's car back to the rental place 4 minutes before it was deemed late and they tried to charge him another day, so he had to haggle with them because they said he was late. This was not the way we had planned on spending our anniversary!!

We got back to the hotel 3 hours later than planned and Bob took the kids swimming while Ernestine and I ordered dinner for her and the kids and tried to get some laundry started. The kids and Bob came back from swimming and finally we could go out on our anniversary date!!

We had wanted to go to a hibachi place for dinner so we found one but when we got there we found that it wasn't exactly what we thought it was. We found it to be Chinese not Japanese but decided since we were there we would just stay. Saved a bunch not being at a Japanese Hibachi I guess. After dinner we went to get a very fancy dessert place....Dairy Queen!! LOL Over all it was a great anniversary if for no other reason that I was able to be with my best friend and husband.
